Up for sale is my Tempo: PE945(telephone) land line test set. This item is"used" However. I always kept the PE945 inside a Flambeau tool box and the tool box was always in the truck inside the(camper shell) Protected from weather and damage. This device is used for"checking" and trouble-shooting land line telephone(dial tones) and detection. Specifically at the incoming terminal block screws or behind the telephone wall plates junction blocks. or) Underneath the residence where telephone drops might have been drilled up into the wall from a fished 2-pair terminal post. I used to be an electrician and many times the telephone"went dead" and I was called-in to locate the trouble. And then. It became a"trace" And this PE945 was"perfect" for locating the trouble. The alligator clips were perfect ... morefor"clipping-on" to the terminal post for dial tone detection. Many times the telephone 2 pair wires were just"twisted" together(for the connection) and the fragile wire was"broken" as a result. Underneath the house you need the PE945 with alligator clips for checking dial tone. I am no longer in the electrical business and that is the reason for offering this PE945 for sale.

In good but used condition. The one piece has tape to hold the batteries in. I don't know the technical name of all these things but there are 3 main pieces and then the cords come in a nice bag.
