We built a heated, enclosed compressor room to help keep it clean, and ran semi-permanent air lines throughout the job site. The compressor received quarterly air filter and oil changes, along with a blowdown and wipe down and motor bearing lube as necessary, and the care shows. The last service was about two weeks before we pulled it out. I estimate about 1000 hours on it now, perhaps as much as 1500, while Quincy rates their ... morepumps for 50,000 hours(there is lots of life yet) The aftercooler gave us the driest air I've ever seen at a job site, no moisture or freeze-ups even on the coldest days. The automatic tank drain is the greatest: never any water build-up, and we didn't have to monitor or manually drain it. This allowed us to hold pressure at night, ready to work in the morning. This is a serious machine for a serious shop, and it will serve well- we certainly were never able to tax it. I do not have 3 phase in my permanent shop, and this compressor is bigger than anything I would ever use it for, so I am looking to sell it before it sits for an extended period of time. The unit was tested and it ran and produced air before it was removed from the building. However, a line was broken, and the compressor was shut down before it came up to pressure. Wayne Industrial air compressor - 120 Gallon Vertical
I am selling my air compressor. It is a 120 Gallon vertical Air compressor. It has a 7.5 HP Single Phase motor. But also comes with a 10 HP Three Phase motor if needed. The brand is Wayne which is a predecessor to Ingersol Rand. The take is a newer tank manufactured in 2003. I believe it is a 40 CFM pump. his is a pressure lubricated unit with a soft start valve and a low oil cutoff, but they are not currently wired up. It comes with a motor starter and a 30 Amp breaker with approx 25 feet of wire. The compressor needs a little crack welded in the tank. I am selling it because I am moving overseas and it's just too big for my needs. It weighs a ton so you will need several people to move it. I have been restoring it for years, but it's time to let it go. This compressor comes AS IS with NO WARRANTY. It should last significantly longer ... morethan newer cheaper build compressors.
