Up for sale is a little used elevated aluminum scaffold or work platform. This is a government surplus item that we purchased recently. We have not attempted to build it and we believe. But can not guarantee, that all the pieces are present. We have a contents sheet and we believe that the major pieces are all present. This unit comes in a wood framed, plywood sided shipping container that is eight feet x 42 inches or so. It was bolted closed when we took possession of it and we could tell it had not been disturbed since being closed up. All of the tubing is 2" Every piece is aluminum except the braces which are galvanized steel and free of rust, all 20 clamps(non-rusting alloy) and both types of jacks. Every 2" round piece and every piece of deck is aluminum and not thin aluminum either. From the paperwork we can tell this was ... morebuilt for Boeing Aircraft originally. A couple of the deck pieces have Boeing inventory badges on them. Here is basically what the set consists of: 7 pieces of heavy decking with diamond plated surface laid on a well built. Heavy frame. Some have hooked ends and some do not. Five of these are rectangular and two are not. 8 pieces of 2" tubing welded into rectangles that are all roughly 48" tall of various widths that have ladder rungs incorporated into them. There are four types. Two identical for each type. 8 pieces of 2" tubing all straight. Four different lengths. Two identical of each type. 8 pieces of 2" tubing roughly 40" long that have two 3/8" threaded studs protruding from them about half way up with a stud also protruding from the end of the tube. ANTIQUE 1966 BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY WOODEN ROLLING 24' FOOT LADDER
This is a very nice example of this 1966 Bell Systems telephone company wooden ladder. I cannot pack and ship it. And it will have to be picked up. If the buyer can arrange for it to be picked up and shipped, that is fine. It came from the estate of a longtime Bell employee, and it measures 12' in length, and is 24' in length when extended, and is 18" wide and weighs in at about 65pds. It has been stored in a nice environment, and the wood looks to be in nice condition with some spots of edgewear on the sides, and just needs some light cleanup. I show a number of photos.
