AC current splitter for use with AC clamp on ammeters. The splitter plugs into the wall socket and the device being tested is plugged into the other end of the splitter. The AC clamp meter is then placed around one of the rectangular openings in the splitter(see photo 3) One opening is scaled as X1 so that the meter will read one ampere for each ampere drawn by the device under test. The other opening is scaled as X10 so the meter will read ten times the actual current being drawn. The latter provides more resolution for low current drain devices.
