This is a crusty old commercial thermometer. It quit working a few light years ago, since then has sat around gathering patina. I believe all mercury is gone from the thermometer, I did unscrew the top cap, remove the glass lens, cleaned, then reassembled-nice glass. Brass housing will polish up nicely. I'm thinking buyer could cut off the bottom 11 1/2" probe, keep the top 10 1/2" thermometer, then create one bad-ass Steampunk industrial project- would look nice mixed into a table lamp project.

This is an Atkins Thermocouple Thermometer model#33032-F. It is a needle/immersion thermometer. Accuracy: +/ 1 F degree in a circulation oil bath with thermocouple error calibrated out at 32 degrees F and 410 degrees F. Traceable to N.I.S.T. Range: 115 degrees F to 440 degrees F. Useable to 500 degrees F. This does turn on and seems to work but since I am not an expert on this item all I can tell you is that it has a battery. Turns on, and looks in used but good condition.
