It was used basicly as a Bird Model 43 would be used. The peak reading section was never used because when I got it this meter had a set of corroded batteries in it. The batteries caused the silver battery case to turn green. and mild corrosion of the case. However as shown in the photos did not corrode any of the working parts of the meter. There is no batteries in the meter now and the peak section can not be tested until batteries are replaced. The Meter itself has been used like this with no Batteries for several years with no effect to using it just as you would a model 43 meter all the elements work and has been a true workhorse meter.
