Fairchild 6200B curve tracer calibration checked,test transistors and tubes
The Fairchild 6200B is a general purpose system three terminal curve tracer. The collector supply is variable in three ranges up to 1000 Volts. The step generator is continuously variable over six ranges from.1ua to 11ma. The step generator can also generate continuously variable voltage steps up to a maximum of 35 volts making it very useful to trace vacuum tubes. This unit when found had a dent on the front right corner. I opened it up and did an esr check of the electrolytics. I replaced three frozen front panel switches and soldered a couple of bad joints. I did a check of the voltage. Current and step generator ranges and everything tested OK. The calibration looks to be still pretty good.
