VTG Antique Wooden 12 1/2 Ft Ruler Survayors Tool ? To Measure Liquid in a tank?
Really Well Made. Measurements in inches up to 126 with markings on each 1/4 inch increment. Measures less then 1 inch wide. I d o not know what type of wood this is but I see no cracks or knots or checking of the wood. I think it may have been used to measure liquid in a tank. I am No Expert so Please look at the pictures. Zoom in and Enjoy. The only printing on it is Degree Day Systems Inc. Cedar Grove N.J. and phone numbers for NJ and NY. The chain at the top of the ruler may have been added later but I will leave it on. 4 Pieces each measures about 37 inches connected by what looks like brass hardware. Payment by PayPal. The burlap measures approximately 12 1/2" x 12" outer edge of burlap) I think the burlap is Scottish burlap but I am not 100% sure. The burlap is from the 1970's and earlier. The burlap was stored by my great grandmother who was a professional rug hooker so the burlap is in the same condition when she packed it away(it is in very good condition- NOT dry rotted or anything like that) All dimensions are approximate! the old doll is about 12 1/2 inch tall. no signed on it. have 3 very little nail on the head.
