This equipment is"used" And I stored this transmitter/receiver pair inside a plastic box and the plastic box was stored on the shelf of my parts warehouse. Completely dry. I also stored these inside the bubble pack from the original shipment. The X10 PRO test and receiver pair was"used" in conjunction with(to support) the X10 electronic wall switch designs. At one time X10 PRO manufactured an"electronic" wall switch(pair) With this"electronic" switch it was possible to turn-on(and) turn-off any light(anywhere) inside a residence. The electronic switch would transmit a"pulsed" signal(out) over the electrical system(with an unique address) and would be"received" by a receiver(anywhere) ... moreby a"receiver" box. The receiver box would have a unique address that would then allow power to the selected device. Connected to it. The advantage to this kind of system would be useful to applications where power was available; however. Not easy for running a wire. For example.
