Used GR 1340 Pulse Generator and General radio. Purchased from electrical engineer's estate that had a shop/lab of test equipment used for his projects. He looked very meticulous and therefore would assume working just fine. Only testing performed was powering up and turning knobs. When Pulse Period/Frequency was rotated. It would not blink at one end of dial and blink more/faster/brighter at the other end of the dial rotation cycle. The Pulse Duration knob also had the same type occurrence but to a different degree. You are looking at an EPSCO Microwave PG5KB High Power Pulse Signal Source Generator with 5238H/B8 plugin oscillator. The included plugin oscillator can generate a maximum power of 4.5 kW(duty cycle 0.0033) with 4.500 V of plate voltage. The frequency can be adjusted in the range of 2.35- 2.70 GHz. All the knobs including the frequency adjustment on the oscillator work just fine. Last month, I tested it with my HP 437B and HP 8481B power sensor, and power output was measured. When I adjusted the knobs, the power output level changed accordingly. But I recently blew the 8481B power sensor with another application(see my other listing of it) so I can't show the pictures. But the included pictures in this listing shows that with ... moredifferent panel settings, the plate voltage and plate current changed accordingly. These behaviors are the same as when I measured the output power with my HP 8481B power sensor. So I am confident that the generator is still working. And, by the way, if you turn it on after not using it for several hours, it will take 15-20 minutes for the oscillator to warm up until it can generate power. What I mean is that when you turn the POWER knob from OFF to STANDBY, the amber STANDBY light will come on, but if you immediately turn the knob further to H.V. ON position, the red H.V. ON light will not come on. You have to wait until the oscillator warm up so that when you turn the knob to H.V. ON, the H.V. ON light will light up. The unit is now sitting on the table and will not be used under any circumstances. The physical condition is good with scratches and blemishes in certain places. Please see the pictures closely. HP8082A 250 MHz "Square" Generator
I bought this to fix up for my own bench generator but soon found it was someone's parts mule. The HP custom width and delay chips had been replaced and both only worked in"pass-thru" mode. If you keep the Width control in the Square position this is a nice square-wave generator. The Frequency(Period) Transition Time, and Output Level controls all respond and you can make any fixed duty cycle waveform you would expect with this equipment. It won't be in calibration. I wouldn't characterize this as economical to fix, unless you know of a supply of HP ASICs.

You are bidding on a gently used Philips(later Fluke) PM 5712 High Speed Pulse Generator with a 1Hz- 50 MHz bandwidth. This remarkable pulse generator offers one-shot. Two-shot and continuous modes of operation, with a 4 nS rise time with verniers for extra fine control of just about every single parameter. You can see its datasheet at. I have used this unit to test high speed amplifiers but have not had it calibrated. And so cannot vouch for its precision. However, it does put out nice square waves as you can see from the output measured on my PC based digital scope. I have exercised it over its entire bandwidth, and while the square waves at high frequency are not as clean as the square waves at low frequencies(at 50 MHz, 40% of the entire cycle is taken up by 4 ns rise time and the 4 ns fall time) it’s been more than good enough for my ... morepurposes.
