The transmitter has been converted to 2 rechargable 6V batteries from the 6V lantern batteries that originally powered the unit. Vintage Sprague Tel-ohmike Model 16 Parts / Repair Collectable Capacitor Tester
Up for bid is: Vintage SPRAGUE TEL-OHMIKE Model 16 capacitor tester. Here is a very nice example of the first version of Sprague's famous Tel-ohmike series. This one has the additional voltmeter option on the right. As you can see from the pictures this unit is not operational and has visible signs of wear and age. It has some rust on the face and top of case. The power cord was cut off and the leather handle has broken. Please view pictures of this auction carefully and thoroughly before making a purchase.
