This is for a Vintage Brass Purox CW-202/ W-201 Oxygen Acetylene Cutting Torch. The Purox cutting torch is used and has some normal wear and scratches from use. It has not been tested but was told it worked right the last time it was used which was awhile back. The torch does have numbers engraved in three places which can be seen in the photos. The knobs all turn freely and the hose threads look good. The Purox cutting torch measures approx. 16-3/8" long from the head to the end of the hose threads. SMITHS Oxygen Acetylene Reguator Set for Welding, Brazing-see operating photos
Here is a good looking. Well operating set of regulators that I personally owned and used before changing to a Victor set. Oxygen H1710A-540 Acetylene H1721A-510 All gauges functional with unbroken plastic lenses. NO LEAKS. The only issue is you have to adjust pressures a bit higher than desired to get the actual pressure you need. For example. Acetylene about 9 psi to get 5 psi acetylene. For cutting, set about 35 psi to get 30 psi. Once set, they hold these pressures as they should. They are not new and don't work like they did when they were, but they do work! The set was used recently on a small project and worked as well as they did when I last used them. The last three photos show them in use: Photo 4 shows cutting torch burning in pre-heat mode. Without cutting oxygen. Photo 5 shows cutting torch with cutting oxygen at around 30 ... morepsi. Photo 6 shows acetylene holding about 7 psi in pre-heat mode. Without cutting oxygen on. This cutting attachment is from an estate of a rancher who had a variety of tools. Including gas and arc welding equipment. I am unable to speak to whether or not this item works. But I have taken several pictures from a variety of angles to give you as much information as possible. The tubing leading to the head does show a little waviness- it is not perfectly straight. The oxygen valve opens and closes freely. Aside from the Murex trademark, the cutting attachment is embossed with"2A" just above the oxygen handle and"5A" on the head. I believe the Murex brand has been acquired by Esab. I understand Murex is an English company. They both have an asset ID number inscribed on them by the company I purchased them from. When I got these it looked like someone had tried to clean up some tarnish on them with brasso or something like that. Whatever they used they didn't do a great job and it bugged me so I polished both regulators and gauges on my buffing wheel to clean them up. The following auction is for a pair of Harris Regulator Gauges. They are for an Oxygen Tank and a Acetylene tank. They are used and show the typical wear. I didn't get a chance to test these. They were unhooked from the tanks when we did the estate. They look to be in decent shape and I think they will work decent. I am going to describe each below a bit better. They are both dusty and need cleaned up. Harris Acetylene Gauge-Model No 25-15 Regulator 650L Listed Compressed Gas. A few scratches on the gas meter sight plastics. There is also a spot of brown paint at the top of the line pressure gauge.The knobs seem to be fine. Harris Oxygen Gauge-Model 25-100 Listed Compressed Gas 650L-A few scratches in the plastic sight glass. There is a chipped out spot on the one side of the PSI of the tank.
