This is a Diligent Basys 2 Spartan-3E FPGA board. Was used in a digital circuits class as a training board. Used for maybe 25 hours during the course of the class so it is pretty much brand new. This is the coolest thing ever! On this little development box are two small 64 x 32 LCD displays that are backlit by an RGB LED. Everything you can imagine on this is a programmable control value. The displays are designed to be implemented into your own control panel or project using NKK's sockets. Or you can just take apart the dev kit when you're ready to permanently install them. There are two push buttons, each below the displays that cycle them through different images. You can build these images on any BMP editor in B/W mode. The color, brightness and stored images can be programmed into the dev kit. You can cycle through quite a number of images with this kit. It can be powered up with the wall wart(included) or from the 9V battery(also included) I have reprogrammed it in green with my own images for a demo I did at work. ... moreBut you can make the background colors anything you want. The software(download from NKKsmartswitch) is really cool and easy to use. It connects to your machine by serial D9 cable(included) for programming.
