Here we start with a vintage& very nice cool looking Motorola tube AC/DC portable AM radio in great working condition. The model number on this wonderful Moto is 52L2A& serial number is 6018& this unit was produced in the 1952 or 1953 era. The cabinet is clean inside& out that is made of plastic& it is dark maroon in color. There are no cracks or chips in the cabinet& really no note worthy scratches to talk about. However there are a few itty bitty white specks that hardly show if they show at all. These few itty bitty white speck do not detract the beauty of this cabinet in any way shape or form. This cabinet has been cleaned& polished which still retain it's original sheen or shine& that shine looks fantastic. I have taken many pictures of this cool looking& working radio so you can see just how nice ... moreshe looks. The gold colored front speaker grill& grill cloth are both in fantastic looking condition. The silver metal plate on top with the Motorola logo on the front of the plate& volume& stations call letters on top portion of the metal plate are all in good looking condition. The 2 maroon thumbwheel control knobs located underneath the metal plate on the top are both in fantastic looking& working condition. The only issue I have with this cabinet is that the handle on top that attaches to the silver metal plate is missing. The original battery saver paper label on the front is in great condition& the original paper label on the inside back cover is also in great condition. The chassis is all original& in good condition. This is a 4-tube unit that uses one-1R5 one-1U4 one-1U5& one-3S4. The volume& tuning controls are both in great working condition. This unit is powered by AC or DC power. The AC electric cord is in great condition that can be safely plugged in to use. I bought this little TV new a while back for a fiel project since it had a rechargable battery built-in and a/v hookups. I ended up using it in the kitchen instead. Great picture and if you live in a metropoitan area. The reception is good with the built-in antenna, however it includes an adapter to hook up a pair of rabbit ears if needed to pull in more reception for local broadcast programming. The speakers are pretty tinny and not very loud so I just used one of those external speakers that plugs into the 1/8" mini phono jack-way better than the tiny built-in speakers. Or use earphones and it sounds great. Some specks of dust have made their way under he LCD screen as often happens with these smaller electronic devices, but you cannot notice at all once the bright vivid screen comes to life when powered on.
