Vtg Antique Bausch&Lomb Optical B&L MICROSCOPE Angle RARE Measure Sugar Wood Box Description: Abbe Refractometer Black Metal Microscope is marked Bausch& Lomb Optical Co. Rochester. NY, USA. No. 7549. It comes to you in original Wood storage box with some apothecary jars and a paper container with old cotton and a little piece of glass marked No 1.51000. I'm not sure exactly what this microscope is best used for. I purchased it at an estate and was told it measures qualities in things like sugar etc. It has a curved measurement ruler type thing with a small lens on it and a normal lens. It has an adjustment wheel that goes from 0 to 60 and counts back down to 0. It has adjustable knobs. It has a tilt-able mirror to direct light. Measures approx 14" tall. 6" base. Condition: Good USED.some scuffs/scratches on exterior ... morefinish. Light rust on the curved part that has numbers. All focus adjustments move smoothly without any grinding. No cracks or visible scratches on glass. I can see thru the lenses fine. This is a used item and is sold As Is and as seen in photos. Vintage Circa 1800 Sauveu r Bausch& Lomb Co Microscope. It is an original microscopes and comes with it original wooden case with 2 glass and extra lenses(see picture) Everything are original except the key lock on the wooden case. Bausch& Lomb Immigrating to the United States from Germany in middle of the 19th century. Jacob Bausch and Henry Lomb began their association by manufacturing eyeglasses. Initially manufacturing single lens microscopes. They graduated to producing compound microscopes in 1874. They used different methods for focusing the instrument: a crew thread focus control on the nose end of the barrel. Later discontinued in 1878, a draw tube similar to several other manufacturers and a rack and pinion system. Manufactured in 1876. This is a fine old high-quality college educational microscope from near turn of the century. It is made of steel in the lower part including the stage and brass from there on up. The eyepiece section telescopes out over 2" from what you see for zooming purposes and is marked in millimeters. This design allows for a multitude of powers to suit the light and viewer's needs. The body says. Bausch and Lomb Optical Co. Rochester, New York, U.S.A. The zooming eyepiece tube has the serial number of 114094 etched in the brass to help one date the instrument. The objectives are marked B and L Optical Co with 4mm and 16mm. The eyepiece is numbered 4 and says Carl Zeiss Jena on top with the side is etched B&L O.C. One might assume B and L sold Zeiss products at one time. At 9 pounds this is no lightweight. Views are clear and bright aided ... moreby a two-sided(plano and concave) mirror in excellent condition. Under the stage is an aperture wheel to control the light from the mirror. Fine focusing is done with the wheel on the back.

Up for auction is an Antique Bausch& Lomb Optical Microscope Pat. Jan. 5 1915. NY USA. This scope is in excellent condition for being almost 100 years old. Some of the black paint has rubbed off in spots. See pictures. Microscope has 3 optics. 1.9 mm, 1.6 mm, 4mm It is cast black and brass. The top eye piece says, 136478 It also come with a frosted glass stopper bottle. Not sure what liquid it held. Please see pictures and ask all questions you have. Antique Bausch & Lomb Microscope Complete With Multiple Objectives/Oculars
I am offering a wonderful antique Bausch& Lomb microscope complete with case and additional oculars and objectives. The microscope is made of black metal and brass. A number 180510 is stamped on top where the ocular goes in. The microscope has four leveling screws as legs. There is a side piece for illuminating a specimen from above which is used for metallurgical work. It has the following oculars: 5X. 6.4X, 10X, 7.5X It has the following objectives: 165 mm TL 8 mm 0.50 16 mm 0.25 165 mm TL 1.9 mm 1.25 oil Imm 165 mm TL 4 mm 0.85 There is a 5th one with no numbers or identification The first four objectives listed are labeled BAUSCH& LOMB OPT.CO. Both coarse and fine adjustments work well. There is some light corrosion on knobs for coarse adjustment. The stage also has wear. I did not attempt to remove either as this could be interpreted ... moreas"patina" and normal for age. The wood case is in good shape for its age with sliding holder for both oculars and objectives. Rare Bausch and Lomb Ray Ban Sunglasses Clock
I can't find anything on this clock. I replaced the light bulb and starter inside and she really shines. She runs great. The last picture is without the new light. The 2nd picture shows a crack on the side that you don't really notice unless you look for it. The material is the same inside and out. You can see a little split above the 12 if you press on the12. There is a crack on the back on one of the transformer mounts. She is union made in the US and measures 15" square by 4" deep. It is a really cool piece. I will be shipping her Fedex.

There is a rainbow light effect when I look through this vintage Bausch& Lomb Lens. My sons says this is a lens to an old spectrometer. I have little knowledge of this item. And cannot find the usual identification numbers I would expect on such an item. Lens is 3 3/8" long and appears to be in fine working order. the original case is 4" long X 1 3/8" in diameter. Antique 1908 BAUSCH & LOMB Brass Metal Microscope w/ Wood Storage Box | SC OX
Up for auction is an antique Bausch& Lomb Brass Microscope with wood storage box. The microscope has"Bausch& Lomb Optical Co. Rochester. NY USA" stamped on the brass body tube. The revolving nose piece has 4mm and 16 mm on the outside of it. The top of the nose piece has"B& L.O. Co. Pat. Dec. 1. 08. stamped on it. The eyepiece can be extended and has"117948" on it while the lens has"10x" stamped on the top of it. The objectives also have the Bausch& Lomb Optical Co. mark as well as"16mm 0.25 N.A. on one and"Oil 1 mm 1/12 1.32 N.A. Tube length 160 OMM" on the other. The stage and specimen holders are both in good condition considering the age. With the holders still giving good resistance to hold slides securely. The light source mirror is also in good condition and still can ... moreswing side to side and hold where it is placed. The course focus knob is a little loose and tends to start slowly lowering the body tube by itself. This does not always occur. But it has happened a few times. The stage and base of the microscope is a painted black metal; the base does show some signs of wear. Overall length of microscope: 6-1/2" Width of microscope: 1-1/16" at its widest point Height of microscope: Appx. 12" The microscope weighs 8.15lbs by itself; the total weigh including the storage box is 13.6lbs. Two holders in the wood case slide out to show additional lens holding slots. There is an additional 10x lens and 8x lens. There is a crack in the back of the case. But as of now it does not effect the structural integrity of the box. The box also comes with a key, so the case can be locked and unlocked as needed. Co. Rochester. N.Y. USA. The case is missing the long strap. The clasp on the case locks well. U. S. Navy WW2 9X63 Mark ... more37 dated 1944. This binocular was used by U. S. Navy ships captains and artillery crews and directors. Usually on battleships. This binocular(and other Mark 37's) began life as a common Mark 1 Mod 2 7X50 binocular. It was then converted at the Naval Gun Factory with 9 power oculars and 63mm objectives. The conversion process involved removing the old 50mm objective and fitting an extension barrel with 63mm objective into the 50mm objective ring. The 9X63 allowed captains and gunnery fire control personnel to see further with the same brightness and improved resolution. Compared to a standard Navy 7X50 binocular.

WW1 Signal Corp binoculars by Bausch and Lomb - US Military / Army
This auction is for a vintage pair of WW1 Signal Corp binoculars made by Bausch and Lomb. Stamped on the side of these however is what looks like a date of 1921 which was just after WW1. They are 6x30 binoculars. The optics are sound and focus well. The optics could use a cleaning on the outside. The lenses do not have any cracks. Each eye piece has its own focus adjustment. There are some symbols and stampings on the left side as pictured in one of the pictures. The leather strap on the binoculars is sound and pliable. The binocular case was designed to have a compass mounted in the top of it. The compass part is missing and the dial remains. The case is sound. It can fit onto a belt. Part of the side strap loops on one side is missing. These have certainly been used and show great history. This is a great find for any military collector!

There is surface rust on the metal parts of the item and there is either rust or dirt on the inside of the lens. For your consideration from a smoke free estate. A truly wonderful piece of vintage optical equipment. I am going to do my best to describe this antique brass microscope. But as I am not an expert by any means in this area please forgive any incorrect terminolgy. Any questions or information is all welcomed and appreciated. This microscope is made of brass and black metal. All we have done is to dust this piece. So the brass. Although warm appears scratched. It looks really retro as it is. But I would think if you wanted to use it you would need to shine it up. I leave the cleaning of these valuable older treasures to the experts. The base is black and measures 5 1/2" longest) 3 3/4" widest) Base does have minimal surface rust(photo 7) and a screw that does turn. I think this screw may tighten the base into place. Back of base has ... morea round metal plate that I think is brass. It reads: Bausch& Lomb Optical Rochester N.Y. New York City. The Bausch is a little hard to read. The mirror rotates and swings freely. The mirror measures 1 3/4" across. The metal around one side of the the mirror has some age rust(photo 7) One side of the mirror magnifies the other is just regular mirror. The mirror side that does not magnify has some silver loss around the edge(see photo 7) this does not seem to effect the visiblity. The mirror will be removed for shipping as to decrease the risk of breakage. The area that holds the slides is black, the two slide holders are intact with good movement and I think they are brass. The opening in slide stage is 1/2" The underside of the slide plate has a circular dial I believe brass piece. This circular dial has 4 holes, I think they are used to regulate the light that reaches the mirror. This dial moves freely and the largest opening measures 1/2" across. The microscope raises up and down without problems but may need to be lubricated. At the tallest it is 14" retracted 11" The piece closest to the slide stage is marked: Bausch& Lomb 16 mm 0.25 N.A. T

This auction is for a Bausch& Lomb Antique Microscope. Microscope is dated Feb 16. 1897. It is solid Brass. It was made by the Bausch& Lomb Optical Company of Rochester, New York. The Serial Number is 30028. It is really nice condition considering how old it is. All glass, mirror and lens seem to be in good condition. Microscope is complete and in working order.
