South Bend Tarp Oreno in Hard to Find Mullet Scale with Intro Box
Very hard to find South Bend Tarp Oreno in rare Mullet Scale(MS) in the Tarp-Oreno introductory box. Mullet scale was only made for a few years on this early variety no eye Tarp-Oreno. The color was re-introduced much later in the product line on the carved eye variety. These early Mullet Scale South Bend lures had a heavier varnish applied. Likely to bring out the beautiful blue scale in the finish and to help protect the bait with salt water use. This lure is in overall excellent condition. Does show some scrapes to the finish in a few spots from the hooks(see photos) and a few age cracks, but overall a very beautiful lure. Please see photos for overall condition. I tried to include as many photos as possible. The early Mullet Scale is one of South Bend's most beautiful finishes and is very hard to find on the salt-water baits. Gossamer Gear SpinnTwinn spinnaker cloth tarp. Including poles and spinnaker cloth bag. Poles are 89g, tarp is 311g, bag is 9g. The SpinnTwinn is no longer available. Apparently because the supply of spinnaker cloth has dried up- ha ha. This tarp has been used four times- turns out I'm not a tarp guy. Note that one can use one's trekking poles in place of the included tent poles. All told and even with the poles, this tarp will add all of 445g and 4,5 liters to your kit(these numbers include titanium stakes(36g) which are not included) If you leave the poles at home it comes to 356g. Up for sale is the very rare MSR MicroZoid solo 1 person backpacking tent. This is not the Zoid 1 which is a much bigger tent. But the Micro Zoid. It's barely big enough to call a tent, just a bit more room than a bivy. With the stakes, poles, and everything my scale weighs it in at 2lbs 12oz. You could lighten it up a few ounces by removing the unnecessary tent stakes, the pole repair kit, and the extra guy lines. Of the three tents I listed for sale, this was the least used and the one in the best shape. It's probably seen less than 10 nights on the trail. I switched to hammocking shortly after buying this tent. It does not include the footprint but as of this listing there is one on Ebay for $15 that's new in the bag. This is a rain fly for a Coleman tent. I don't know what tent it's supposed to go with. It's 11 feet long by 6 feet 10 inches across the middle. A quick test shows that it's still water repellant(see the second photo) And it doesn't seem to be torn or otherwise damaged, and none of the elastic, hooks, or velcro things seem to be missing. It weighs about 21 ounces. The actual color is a little darker than what you see in the first photo. This is the rain fly only. Not a tent. And there are no poles or stakes. And no stuff bag. This is a fly for a North Face Polaris tent. This is not a complete tent. Just the fly. It doesn't seems to be damaged in any way. And it seems to be water repellant(see the second photo) but some of the seams may need to be re-sealed(see the third photo) It measures about 9'x8' laid out flat. The last photo(stolen from a blog without permission) shows a Polaris fly. But not the actual fly that I'm selling. The fly seems to be in good condition.
