Up for Your consideration is a Vintage Philco AC/DC Portable tube radio. Radio has be refurbished by me and plays very well. All caps have been replaced and all bad tubes have been replaced. No volume scratchiness, all knobs turn smoothly and work. Nice leather case with carrying handle. Although this does take batteries, it does have an AC plug to plug into your outlet. Batteries are no longer available. A Great collectors item that works very well.

Air King Model 522 Portable AC DC 4 Tube TRF Radio 1936 Rare Restored & Working
This rare Air King was made in 1936 as shown on its included instruction tag! 3 tubes provide RF amplification and drive the interesting horseshoe magnet high impedence speaker with decent volume and sound quality. It does not sound as good as an electrodynamic. But I believe for cost and weight considerations it was used. Radio looks portable and is, but without the batteries. You could easily move it from room to room and just well.plug it in. Radio jas been recapped and all resistors changed. Tubes all check good; bad ones were replaced. Speaker driver pin was aligned and the horseshoe magnet was repainted. It's still quite strong. Radio is surprisingly sensitive as well. New wiring and antenna hank and cord. Ballast tube was bad and replaced with resistors-but guess what? I'm a stickler for original and it has since been brought ... moreback to that originality that it once had. Radio is clean, but shows some wear on the case and the dial, which by the way, lights up green when powered up. Please view the photos carefully-this is a rare and interesting radio. This listing is for a vintage SHARP Cassette Player Recorder Tape Deck# RD-418. The original microphone is included. It takes 4- C batteries(not included) There is also a place to plug in a DC 6V adapter(not included) So that A/C power can be used to power the unit. It is in good condition. This tape player/ recorder plays and sounds good. The only problem that I found was that the volume control knob makes static noise when you adjust it. It stops when the knob stops being moved. It is probably just dirty contacts that can be cleaned with some contact cleaner, but that will be up to the buyer if they choose to do so. And in very nice condition and complete, with no visiable missing parts. The radio/player does not have it's original AC adaptor, and I don't see where the batteries go, so the unit is being sold"Untested" and may not work. The plastic case is in good condition for it's age and I can see no cracks, and has the factory handle that works. The tone arm has the factory cartridge and needle, and the arm moves freely.
