Up for auction is a vintage Hickok model 209A VTVM and with 7 capacitance ranges. In“for restoration” condition. It powers up, both the center zero and‘end’ zero functions work fine, measures 9 volts DC as 11 volts on all DC volt ranges, and Ohms also works but inaccurate readings- so this Hickok needs some attention, but is a great start to a restoration project. Very large meter, the glass window itself is 6” X 8” and meter needle moves smoothly and evenly throughout entire range. Physically in what I would call VG condition, all knobs original and fine, front panel VG too but has a few paint drips, and some paint flaking off of metal meter frame. Cabinet with no dents. Up for auction is a Hickok radio test set. The model on the unit itself is TS-997A/U. The model number on the case and manuals is AN/URM-113(or 113A) I am guessing that the TS-997A/U and AN/URM-113 are identical.Because the illustrations in the 113 manuals are identical the the 997A/U. I am not sure which radio set this unit worked with. The manuals are dated 1959. So I am assuming it is used with a particular military radio set that was common in that era. I have not attempted to power the unit. And it is being sold as-is. The unit is in very nice physical shape, with the exception being the hinges which show rust. Thanks for looking. SELLER DESCRIPTION I purchased this device off of a gentleman whose father served in the Navy during WWII. He told me that when his father passed away that he found this in his barn in a sealed chest. This chest seems to have preserved it very well. As you can see in the pictures it still turns on. In the fourth picture you can see the tubes lit up through a hole in the side. This is a fantastic. Well preserved piece of American history. What you see in the pictures is what you get. Up for Auction ONE Hickok Roll Chart For models 532-533-534& 534A Tube testers. Will also fit some other later models but lack some of the data. This auction is for the roll chart only and not the tube tester underneath it. The pictures do not show the entire chart but only a few areas from start to finish. Date: 4-1-1948 Condition is very good. There are no brittle or rotted areas on the paper and seems strong. There is some light yellowing in a few various areas. I will ship this in a 10x10x4" box and not in any sort of flat cardboard envelope for better protection. I was going to treat it with"Map Life" paper preservative but decided not to and leave it original. I would suggest you apply this or similar preservative when you receive it.

This Hickok 800 Mutual Conductance checker is in great working condition. R ecent calibration done per mfg. specs, calibration data/ settings sheet i s included. Line cord has been professionally replace d with modern 3 prong cord for safety- front panel is now always grounded- but o riginal line cord will be included in sale. Photos show various tubes being checked. Includ ing a 6L6. A 12AT7, and an 811. Checks for shorts and leakage. Also checks diodes and discrete transistors. Missing only the red plate cap lea d. Vintage HICKOK MODEL 546 Vacuum Radio Audio Tube Tester NO RESERVE!
Vintage test equipment in used condition. Has missing/wrong screws on face plate. There is some electrical tape around the power cord where it goes through the plaate. The carrying case shows signs of wear but overall very good condition. The paper reel is intact with no tears and the thumb dial works smoothly. Testing: Unit powers up. The line adjust works. Tested a few known good and bad tubes on the 9-pin socket only. It"passed" the good tubes and"failed" the bad ones so it appears to be somewhat functional. Instrument is not/has not been cailbrated so accuracy is not known. That is the extent of the testing that was done. No manuals. Test leads, socket adapters etc included. Hickok Model 800 Mutual Conductance Tube Tester with manual in good condition
I have for your consideration a Hickok 800 mutual conductance tube tester in good condition. I purchased this tester used last year. And it is in good working condition. The inside face plate shows a very little wear. And I suspect it was not used much in its past history. The outer case has a couple very small tears in the cloth covering that do not at all detract from how it works. If you are looking at tube testers you probably already know that mutual conductance testers are the best ones you can buy for really determining if a tube is good or bad. This tester has inputs for a very wide verity of tube types including early ones. As you can see in the pictures. I replaced the only 2 paper capacitors in it. One electrolytic across the meter and the other one on the main selector. I have taken a picture of them, and you will see them next ... moreto each other in the picture. The one regular paper cap I replaced with a high quality Audio cap that is black in the picture, and the electrolytic on the meter I replaced with a nichicon. It worked well both before and after I replaced the caps, but I replaced them as a precaution, since paper caps dry out and go bad. The two tubes in the tester itself I did not replace. And they both work well. If these tubes are replaced you are supposed to do a calibration afterward, per the manual. I suspect they are the originals. I never felt the need to calibrate the tester when I used since it worked well when I got it. But the re-calibration procedure is in the included manual if you choose to do so. It always worked very well for me as it is. I used it to test tubes for my hobby of antique radio repair that I am getting out of now. The pictures are the best indication of condition. I have packed it well and will ship USPS only. Since I live in a small town and am not near any other shipper. Fully functional and calibrated Hickok 6000 Tube Tester. Calibrated by Roger Kennedy in 2012. BRAND NEW ROGER KENNEDY CUSTOM METER INSTALLED! For sale here is a HICKOK Model 532 vacuum tube tester. The unit is working as you can see by the first picture im testing a known good 6L6. The unit does seem to be complete though unit will need a good cleaning as most tube testers do. I sprayed the insides down with deoxit to help with connectivity and electrical lubricant to help the switches turn smoothly. As with all tube testers it MUST be assumed that the unit needs a calibration. As you can see it is working powering on(pilot lamp needs replaced) etc. The roll chart is free and moving as well as the switches and knobs including a free moving meter. Western Electric KS-15560-L1 Tube Tester Hickok 539 Slightly Used
This is a Western Electric model KS-15560-L1 tube tester. This is made by Hickok for Western Electric. It is similar to the Hickok model 539. This has been in storage for many years. It is in like new condition with very little use. I have tried testing some tubes on this and it seems to be in good operating condition. The handle has a chip by the hinge and that hinge is loose on the case. One of the cover latches will not latch. There is some very small dings and scratches on cover. The roll chart will not roll to upper and lower ends. This can be easily fixed be removing it and re-rolling it. This is the nicest one of these tube testers that I have ever seen. Most show signs of use. I do not have the manual or any paperwork for this.

This would make a nice mutual conductance tube tester with built in voltmeter, I do know from preliminary work on this that a number of the spool resistors are open and need replacement as well as a 10 watt 8600 power resistor. Up for auction is this great Hickok 600A Dynamic Mutual Conductance tube tester. It is overall in great condition with only light scratching on the top cover as shown. The front face with the controls is in great condition. All of the knobs are in place and the roll chart works good too. As for the working condition. I am not sure but it plugged it in and could get a reading with the line adjustment although the meter movement sticks some. This auction includes a Hickok made Western Electric model KS-15559-L1 vacuum tube tester. I recently picked this tester up at an estate sale along with a few other vintage electronic items. I have not personally used this tester myself but was told by the previous owner that he had used it approximately 3-years ago and that it was working at that time. After purchasing it. I brought it home, plugged it in, and was able to adjust the line voltage properly. I have not done any additional testing beyond this and therefore, I am selling this item in as-is, untested, used condition. As the photos show, this unit is quite clean for it's age both inside and out and all of the knobs, switches, and push-buttons are original and in great shape. It has been stored indoors in a smoke free and climate controlled home. Included is a copy of the operator's manual and an extensive tube data supplement. The KS-15750-L2 was manufactured by Hickok for Western Electric and is of the highest quality. Despite being built for industrial research and development service this example has escaped with only a few dings and scratches suggesting limited use. Upon opening the lid a stunning faceplate and knobs are revealed once again confirming limited service. The only detraction is a missing right hand lid stop arm and stud. I have a Hickok 539A tube tester for auction. The photos show the condition fairly. The instrument deck is in fine cosmetic condition but the case has some bumps and duct tape repairs. The unit has worked on all the tubes I have tried over the years and worked on a sampling today. The knobs and switches all work smoothly as they should. The paper roll works fine and there are no tears in it. It gives the expected readings for new tubes but it has not been calibrated in at least the 15 years I've had it. I bought it from a research facility and they did perform calibration but I don't know when the last one was done. It also comes with some tip sheets and supplemental data for additional tubes not included on the roll. The roll is copyright 1961. Available for sale are three WWII Signal Corps tube testers. Two are model I-177. And the third one(painted red) is a I-177-B. These items came from the estate of a longtime radio technician. Who is in the process of reducing some of his inventory in anticipation of relocating to a small building. All three of these units are in decent cosmetic condition. All are untested, and I have not even attempted to power them on. This is a great lot for a technician who can spend a little time on each unit and give them a decent calibration service. Case and face of unit are in nice condition for its age, however it is missing its lid. When testing tubes, I found this tester to perform all prescribed tests successfully, but it gives slightly lower readings than my calibrated Hickok 6000A tester. I believe the issue to be one of the incoming line level which tells me the 83V mercury vapor tube or the 5Y3 rectifier tube may be getting a little on the weak side. I tested the function with a couple different tubes such as 27, 80, 6V6, 6SN7 and all performed as expected. The power cord is flexible and has no cracks. The small grid cap adapter aged and a bit cracked at the base of it. There is an nice built-in scroll for tube settings included and it even still shows those two digit tubes. The handle. Hinges and clasps are tight and in good condition. Exterior cabinet not water damaged or cracked however, it does have marks paint splatters, and tears consistent with its age. I got this from my Dad about 20 years ago and never used it. Looks to be in very nice condition but has been sitting in my office closet. I have no tubes to test it but it powers up. Has a few marks on it in pencil and a red pencil mark near the center of the face. Has the original manual dated 1965 and the supplement for obsolete tubes dated 1968. Has some adaptors with it. Probably needs to be calibrated and gone over by someone qualified. It is heavy so I will ship economy and with insurance and tracking. If you want otherwise let me know at auctions end. The Roll Chart is hard to turn because the Paper Chart is teared at some locations, the m echanic parts of the Roll Chart is Good. US Navy Improved TV-7 Hickok Design- TV-10 A/U Tube Tester VG Cond& Working Reads out Mutual Conductance Directly in Micromhos. Top of the line. Military Quality. TV-10A/U Tube Tester. The TV-7/ 10 series of military tube testers are considered some of the best testers ever made. The TV-10 is a larger variant of the TV-7 and has a major advantage in that it reads out directly in micromhos and has a built in roll chart. The design is supremely rugged and compact. It tests a great many types quickly and easily and enjoys wide support. If you want a tube tester that gives great results with a direct readout than this is the one! The TV-10 is not a very well known tube tester. There just weren't very many of them made and they are hard to find. It is basically an up-scale version of the ever popular TV-7. Like most other US military tube ... moretesters. The TV-10 is a mutual transconductance tester designed by Hickok. This TV-10A/U is a pretty nice example. The outer case has its share of superficial dings and scratches but inside it is in great condition. Very clean panel and immaculate interior. The roll chart works smoothly and the tube tester works just fine as well. The only flaws worth mentioning is a crack or two in the plastic instruction sheet mounted in the lid and the power cord is getting a little stiff. I compared the readings with a friends TV-7 and this set was close but slightly higher on the tubes we checked[12AX7. 6V6, 6L6, 6BQ5] It has a Navy calibration sticker from 1968, so it's somewhat overdue for a calibration[several guys on the web will do calibrations reasonably] It measures approx 18" X 7" X 10" and very well packed[double boxed] shipping weight will be 26.5 pounds from zip code 24012. TV-2A/U MILITARY TUBE TESTER. Hickok FEDERALTELEVISION TESTS 300B TUBES
This tube tester works great but does need a tuneup I've enjoyed having it. But don't use it much do I'm selling it and will be listing all my tubes in the next week too. It powers up and works great but could use a tuneup. The power cord is starting to Frey and the big porcelain tube socket is cracked and the small cord input could be replaced. The tube chart is a little tight and could use to be reset too. And there are dings in the case. But it still works great I've tested and sold tubes with it on Ebay and never had a complaint. All the meters function and are in great condition with out any cracks. And you can download a manual and updated tube charts on the internet. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. The unit does not power up when turned on. The case is in good condition with signs of wear and some damage of the covering. The power cord is in good condition and is pliable. The roll chart has come disonnected. All of the controls work freely.

Hickok 600A Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester Reads Directly in Micromhos Here is a very clean. All original Hickok 600A. I received this just yesterday from a retiring TV and radio repairman. He was the original owner, and this Hickok never left his bench. It is very clean as you can see in the many photos provided. Very good case. Cabinet, and presents itself very well. I have tested the following tubes and the readings have co-insided with my professionally calibrated Hickok TV/7D. 6V6. 6L6, 12AX7, and 6SN7 This even has the original owners manual. Guarantee, and warranty card with it. The scroll chart is flawless and there is really no sign of use. A very nice 600A that reads directly in Micromohs. Like I mentioned.
