Nice tidy example. Early 70's WEM Dominator Mark-III. Remarkably clean unmolested chassis& electronics. Original Mullard EL84 power tubes still kickin. 1 yellow labeled Mullard ECC83 pre-amp tube. And 2 misclaniouse vintage pre-amp tubes. All seem to be running strong. All pots function smooth& quiet. Chocked full of yellow Mustard caps too(good year) Original electrolytic filter caps appear okay visually(no blistering) but should probably be changed due to age(theres only two, so should be inexpensive) for optimal performance. The original G12S 20 watt speaker was sounding a bit flabby when pushed, so it got an early 80's G12M-70(vintage hooktype, solder only terminals) which handles anything this amp can give, and with better midrange. The only other modification, is a shorting type speaker output jack. Wired so when you ... moreplug in your favorite 16 ohm cab, it renders the internal speaker inoperative, to keep the proper ohms load on the amp. Sounds huge through a 4 X 12 cab. Tolex is in great shape for its age. Grill cloth is completely in tact. No missing face plate, or WEM logo(common to be MIA on these) 2 independent channels, with treble boost on channel 1, channel 2 is more bassy, and overdrives more. I believe this is from the early 60s. This is the original speaker that came in the amp. I used this with a p90 equipped archtop a few years ago and it was smooth with good bass response and articulate highs. Unfortunately I don't have tube amps anymore. One of a kind item.
