Vintage Unitron ME-1548 Microscope w/Zeiss components and Polaroid Camera
First let me say that I don't know much about microscopes. Most info here is from my observance so if you have questions please ask. What we have is a vintage UNITRON ME 1548 3 ABJECTIVES 3X UNITRO/ NIKON 20 AND UNITRON M 20/ 0.40. W/ POLAROID CAMERA. It has attached a Karl Zeiss camera attachment that has an adjustable Zeiss eyepiece. There is a Polaroid Land Camera attached to the top of the Zeiss. I was told that there is a beam(light) splitter w/light on the microscope. The scope table has multiple micro adjustments possible for movement. This unit has been stored for many years. Could use a cleaning but still pretty clean. It appears all knobs and bulbs are in working order. Looks lightly used. I don't know if the Polaroid camera works as I have no film to test it. The microscope is funtioning properly and is a 50x-750x power. It comes with a box of 11 test slides(the 12th is missing) a shrimp egg hatchery, a few microscope accessories, a dissecting board, a knife, a tool for moving specimens around, the original instructions, speciman jars of alcohol(empty) honey bee in perservative, canada balsam(small amount-may be hard) safranin O Wasserloslich, bread yeast, sea salts and brine shrimp eggs-keep in mind that these are used and many have small amounts in them. Vintage Charles Baker London Microscope Projector lamp light - industrial design
A nice vintage item this and in good working order. It has the maker's name on the base C Baker London. The upright stand is 24cms high and you can adjust the height of the lamp itself up and down the bar. The metal paintwork is essentially in good condition with a few scrapes and scratches here and there but certainly nothing that detracts. There are signs of surface corrosion on the vertical bar and several other small parts but these would clean up fine. The manual lever for the iris aperture is a bit worn on the surface but it just adds to the look in my opinion. I presume it would be operated by placing a microscope slide into the cradle holder and then the amount of light can of course be adjusted by the lever. A really nice item. Industrial in design and might be a nice lamp for the home though a fairly intense one. This is quite ... morea heavy item and will fall in to the medium parcel bracket weighing between 1 and 2kg.
