This is a vintage insulation tester. Made by Industrial Instruments of Cedar Grove New Jersey, for the U. S Air Force. Although this is older, it was obviously built to military specs, and should still function as a quality tester today. Everything is contained in the solid wood box- instrument, schematic, instructions, and cables. This box is approximately 18" x 12" x 12" and weighs about 10 pounds. It has a NEMA5-15R receptacle and recessed probe receptacles and a bypass switch for test probe and two-wire device testing. This unit was just decommissioned from the engineering lab of a major display manufacturer that closed a facility. It is in very nice condition and it works perfectly. The lab manager told me the equipment was calibrated a month before the facility closed; the meter reading corresponded to my voltmeter. But calibration is not warranted.
