The box is solid and in very good condition there are no cracks or missing pieces in the oak; the leather strap is broken but all there. The top and bottom of the box have some chips in the veneer. OLD BOSTROM NO 4 BRASS SURVEYORS LEVEL TRANSIT& CASE The brass telescope and level vial are intact however there is a crack in the brass tube holding the level(looks like a stress crack started at the screws holding the level in) It looks like this could be replaced with another piece of brass tubing at the discretion of the new owner. The rotating base holding the telescope is divided into four quadrants at 90 degrees each; the lowest brass band has match marks for 0, 30, and 60 degrees. Wild Heerbrugg transit level used. I got this in a box lot at an auction and don't know much about it. The eyepiece focuses fine and overall seems to be in good condition. Early 1920's Vintage David White Surveyor Transit Serial Number 3686 Our family has owned this since 1970 and it has be a great conversation piece in the den. A great piece of American history is very good condition. Carrying case shows some cracks and splits on back and strap broke when I opened case for picture. Lietz Sokkisha C40 automatic level in its original case with accessories. Tripod sold seperately in another auction) The level is in really nice condition. see pictures) The level is 7 1/2 inches long. The tool is marked Sokkisha made in Japan C40. The other side says Lietz C40 D10355 Member JSIMA 044205. The unit swivels nicely and levls nicely and the adjusting knobs turn and focus as they should with nice clear lenses. The unit comes in its original case which is in good condition as well showing normal wear from use on the outside. The set is complete. I will ship the same day you pay.
