It has both a regular AC cord and a DC cord that plugs into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket; the AC cord is built into the unit and cannot be removed, the DC cord has its own socket. It has been tested and works nicely, everything works just as it should. This unit only plays videos, it does not record. There is a manual tracking control on the front to fine-tune playback tracking. Cosmetically the unit is fair, there are many scratches on the top and some scratches on the front as well. However this is a good quality unit, made in Japan, has a lot of metal in it and is a bit heavy. I do not have the remote control for it. The Apollo PA 5000 is a lightweight portable amplifier which gave us good service in various venues from birthday parties to performances in churches and small to medium school auditoriums. The amplifier operates on standard 60 Hz AC power or for complete portability it will operate on 6 size C batteries. The wireless transmitter uses one 9 V battery. My husband tested the Apollo PA 5000 and it works well on AC power and batteries; he tested the microphone and transmitter. The two microphone inputs, the Aux input, the output and the volume control; all the components work well on AC and on batteries. We will also include a Rec Out cable which we sometimes used to connect the Apollo to in-house amplification systems.
