Tom,
My Dad passed away in February of this year after a brutal battle with cancer. My brother and I went through much the same process as you and yours are right now.

There are only a few times in life where the phrase "I know how you feel" is more than just a platitude, but in this instance, I really do know how you feel.

I also know there's not a damn thing I can say that will help out or make any difference. Just know my family and I have you in our prayers, and that your father is blessed to have had such a son.

'Til we see them again..

I recently bought a J.C.Higgins#3002 bamboo fly rod at an estate sale for #15.00. It is in excellent shape, being stored in a sock inside an aluminum tube. It even came with the extra tip. Do you know what wt rod this model is? Any info on this rod would be appreciated. I was thinking of using it.

We're sorry to hear it, Tom...I'm sure your father was proud to have a son capable of writing such a moving eulogy.

May you and your family be given the time and space needed for a proper fairwell.

Peace, Will and Abby
