The Upper Sacramento River Exchange is offering a fly fishing clinic featuring Fred Gordon and Wayne Eng, and if you're familiar with this area, you know those two guides account for a great deal of expertise on the Upper Sac.
Wayne stopped by this morning and he told me the clinic is aimed at the beginner to intermediate fly fisher (Wayne's getting the beginners, Fred's teaching the intermediates).
Wayne also said that unlike almost all other fly fishing clinics, their students will not be subjected to beatings. Sounds like the kind of coddling that produces soft, flabby fly fishermen, but if you're one of those fancy-pants types who wants to learn and doesn't like being beaten, then this is the fly fishing clinic for you.
