Gratified to see some positive action about the Corps power grab (imagine Washington overreaching and dictating to us ????) Hopefully we’re making enough noise in the right circles … torch and pitchfork still handy just in case.
I’m 100% in favor of good access laws…. in recent years I see the refusal of many landowners to allow access or use on their land to be our own fault. The slobs that leave garbage, are rude, pushy, and nasty are largely to blame for angry landowners. Try being polite, asking, offering to help paint a barn, taking a bottle, being a good neighbor even if you don’t live right there…..amazing what common courtesy and being what we used to call a sportsman will get you…… There are several no trespassing spots I have written permission to use anytime thanks to basic courtesy, taking a trashbag and doing a little cleanup at the end of the day, and a yearly Christmas card.
