The Trout Pout?
Clearly, today’s trout face a lot of challenges (climate change, habitat loss, pollution, nymphers, etc), but suddenly they’re also being blamed for the excesses of humanity’s incompetent plastic surgeons.

We don’t blame you for looking away. But apparently, this is actually some kind of trend in Russia (while we’re on the subject of blame, blame this post on Alert Undergrounder Reader Brad).

Just when you thought it was safe to go to the beauty parlor, the latest fashion is yet again cause for concern.
According to the ‘Awful Plastic Surgery’ website, a site dedicated to exposing poor enhancements, the trout pout phenomena is sweeping not just the US, but Europe as well.
There was a time when I thought fish acted weird (a typically human-centric view of the world).
I now see that it’s fish who are normal, and humans who are all mucked up.

is it just a coincidence that there is an ad for “jolly good rod” (showing a man who’s just caught a fish) on this page?
also I agree that this is more of a carp pout. and did anyone else notice that the woman in the picture put lipliner on? (which is usually used to make the lips look fuller) I mean, as if it wasn’t bad enough already

Your second paragraph leads us (inevitably) the obvious question; do carp use lipliner?

Indeed, they do. Carp of this species are apparently colorblind to the degree of seven shades difference to the human eye…lawl. :o
