Snagged one. I really wanted two, but the wife is going to kill me already for just the one, a line and a neoprene case for it. The order form only lists black, which would be ok, but there’s a drop down for green, or green/black. I’d sure love to see some green on a reel. Hopefully he still has some with the green and will see my order msg. Plain black reels just seem a bit boring to me. Thanks for the post – it may feel like just an advertising plug, but I appreciate the pitch. My wife however…

i dont own any of the Allen products but from the research i have done the reviews are pretty good.Justin is the owner i believe and his customer service is top notch.

I bought the first generation version of this reel second-hand off a guy over here in Engerland. It’s a solid little piece of kit. Nothing flashy, just a nice-looking lightweight reel with a simple and sturdy drag. Sorely tempted to pick up one of these in the green.

I did finally get an email from him, after a rather stern email that I hated to send – after many emails, PM’s and facebook messages got ignored. The reel came that same day and for the money I am very pleased with it. It looks to be more of a 7/8 wt. size, but no matter – for $50 it’s a steal. Anyway, I said I’d follow up. The merchandise is great and the price is right…unfortunately, the communication could have been much better.
