I’ve done a pheasant hunt in such a place and it was okay. I don’t think I’d go back (though I might) but for someone who wants to get out and put a few bird in the pot but doesn’t want to run to the supermarket, more power to ya.
The whole canned big game thing rubs me the wrong way. Except of course, for the “wild” boar my best buddy shot up in upstate New York. That was good eating! But Lions? Jeez that’s just wrong. And SCI just went down a few notches in my book if they really allow folks to claim those canned animals as record breaking trophies.

The pheasant gig is a different animal as far as I’m concerned; they still have a fair chase shot at getting away. Penned in “big game” really doesn’t.
The more I hear about the Safari Club, the farther they fall. They’re not exactly what you’d call a conservation organization…
