Because we’re a full service fly fishing blog – bent on saving not only your sanity but also your financial standing – I thought I’d pass along news that The Upper Sacramento River Exchange is looking for a new Executive Director.
The River Exchange is a river stewardship nonprofit located in Dunsmuir, so those looking for Wall Street-level paychecks probably shouldn’t apply.
That said, it’s a cool gig in a pretty part of the world, and if it’s anything the Undergrounders clearly want in a job, it’s Absolute Power Over Their Minions. Of course, I’m not sure if the River Exchange ED actually has minions, but think of the possibilities (“You go ahead and get this grant proposal out while I wander out to the river to make sure nothing’s happened to it since last night’s hatch.“)
Click here to see their flyer (the deadline to apply is June 23).
And remember, who loves ya, baby? TC, that’s who…

Tom, I also just posted about this on the Mount Shasta Trail Association website.
You’re right. We do live in a very beautiful part of the planet. It’s only 3/5 time, but one can live cheaply in Dunsmuir.

More importantly, it’s gotta be a great way to meet chicks. I’m guessing that’s going to be the key selling point. Pretty sure anyway…

Meet chicks? Did someone say something about the fairer sex?
