Extra points for getting it together to sign off, but only a “B-” on the “That wasn’t a good idea” statement. That was a once-in-a-lifetime, on-camera opportunity to say something really memorable.

High marks for artistic effort, a few deductions on the technical level. He did manage a full rotation, but he forgot to point his toes, dropped his microphone and the ‘that was a bad idea’ remark lost him a full point.
You’re right, he missed an opportunity of a lifetime! Something with at least one station *beep* would have been good like maybe, “I’m ready for the *beepin* half pipe now”

Oh, I totally disagree. Masterful, so polished in fact that I suspect a little cook-up. I think he was looking to get wiped out, hence “that was a bad idea,” but the 1 1/3 with a quarter twist was probably not in the storyboard. What was a bad idea, Rob? Not doing your vector and force calculation, with a little bit more for the rebound from the inflatable doohickey your accomplice is driving? Thinking that if you land it you’ll get some slots on the 11 O’clock? Since evidence would be good for such a conspiracy theory, I looked closely at the tape several times and found some incriminating behavior or other to point out.
See, you guys don’t work with high school journalists like I do. Gives an insight into the special idiocy that three sixteen-year-olds and a camera can bring out. If I had a dollar for every time I heard a couple of members of my crew say, “Wouldn’t it be cool if…” I would be making a living wage.
