The study of hatchery steelhead is fascinating, but baffling. In the long run, how could soft and stupid trout “weaken the gene pool.” The failure to reproduce is self-correcting in a generation or three, no? Bruce Ross(Quote)
But every year they release more hatchery trout. The non-wild genes keep getting forced into the population. Tom Chandler(Quote)
