It’s Travel Poster Day (or, Places to Fly Fish If This Were The 1930s)

Nowadays, a dead trout with a tape measure might not qualify as “Angler’s Paradise” for most fly fishermen (after all, you can’t go there and catch that fish), but heck, who doesn’t like to say “Tasmania” out loud? (See what I mean? It’s infectious. Say it with me now: “Tasmania.” Yow.)

I’ve been to Hobart before, about ten years ago. Fantastic. Didn’t have time to do any fishing, sadly, as I was busy loading gear onto an icebreaker before spending two months floating around in the Antarctic. What a neat city, though. And with the Derwent River right on your doorstep. Lordy.
