The Ten Most Diabolical Fish List (Or Ten More Reasons to Fly Fish For Trout.. TROUT)

We take a break from showing you more pictures of snow to bring you this important story designed to keep you out of the water forever:  Ten More Reasons to head for the Upper Sacramento Next Spring Rather Than the Ocean, where apparently it’s simply not safe.

We bring give you Environmental Graffiti’s Ten Most Diabolical Fish On Earth, including several species evolved to attack and eat prey much larger than themselves (this means you, homo flyfishus).

The Fangtooth, which frankly, you can keep.

The Fangtooth, which frankly, you can keep (via talented photog diwann - click photo to see more)

They didn’t include sharks, but did show us frankly distressing photos of Anglerfish, Tigerfish, Pirhana, and many, many others, most of whom featured the kind of teeth you won’t find in a glass next to Grandma’s bed.

Trout, my friends, are looking a lot safer prettier.

See you anywhere but the ocean on the river, Tom Chandler.

Hell, I couldn’t even take a shower the day after I saw the movie Jaws.

After seeing these things – especially that Tigerfish – I’m developing a new appreciation for 8″ Brookies…
