It’s not a cloud. It’s the mothership docking with the mountain. To camouflage themselves, they emit a thin vapor to make you think it’s a cloud. Don’t believe me? Google the word Lemurians. I’ve long harbored suspicions that Tom is not really what he seems…
Vortex portals — that’s all I’m saying.
Smarter and Better Looking Brother: That is an interesting link to the Lemurians. Especially since the Wikipedia link indicates that the Church Universal and Triumphant has connections to this “cult”. And the CUT church sits on the banks of the Yellowstone River here in MT – one of the “cult” fly fishing rivers here in MT. And the Upper Sac is one of the “cult” rivers in CA. And TC lives in the shadow of Mt. Shasta and often pays homage to the Upper Sac….. the tale grows ever stranger, eh?
The photo of the mothership was taken with the only camera at hand – an old Pentax Optio 43WR.
Because the picture was disappearing by the second, I didn’t charge around looking for the best angle; I just sat it on the patio railing, propped it at the right angle using a dish towel stolen from the L&T’s hands, then used the self-timer so the camera wouldn’t shake (it still did on most of the images).
I’d love to take credit for some kind of brilliant artistry, but in this case, it simply was a matter of “f8 and be there” – a lesson right out of my Zen photographic hints series.
As for the lemurians and aliens, well, everyone’s free to check the man cave for pods. Still, if I make it out to Montana next season, it’ll be my opportunity to turn Taku into one of us…
I’m really interested in ALL of the technical details. What kind of dish towel was it? And how do you get your wife to wash dishes while you’re out on the deck dicking around with your camera?
When I cook, my wife has to do the dishes, when she cooks, she has to do the dishes.
And she is grateful when I cook, but I do get an occasional earful when she has to do both.
The dawn effects on the lower slopes certainly makes for an eerily ominous presence, as if the moon is approaching your pov, and that nothing shall escape whatever falls within it’s path. Like some scene out of “The Blob” or maybe “The Fog”.
Beautiful picture! What kind of camera was it shot with?
