Underground Escapes Death By Head Cold; Comeback Planned Tomorrow

by Tom Chandler on November 13, 2008 · 4 comments

I managed to contract a little viral thing last week, but wasn’t hobbled by it until it turned into an unhappily full-blown head cold, apparently brought back from Europe by the L&T.

I’m popping Vitamin C’s and “Wellness” pills like they were M&Ms, and I expect to become human again tomorrow.

In my ongoing efforts to make lemonade out of lemons, I can say I’ve stumbled on the Perfect Holiday Gift for the Underground: A Functioning Immune System.

See you at the medicine cabinet, Tom Chandler.

You’re not the only one with a full blown head cold. I got one too for similar reasons. My wife and 14 1/2 month old son just got back from a trip to Russia (she’s from there and went back to visit her family for a couple months in early Sept). Our son came back with a slight head cold but nothing major as he was over it in a couple days. I came down with it early yesterday AM and thought it would be the same thing (nothing major). Wrong! Been on cold meds since yesterday afternoon but feeling better today and should be fine by the weekend.

Yeah, I’m still firmly in the subhuman category, but the Klamath deal stuff certainly woke me up.

No problem with the subhuman, you always were fond of that state. However, the head cold thingie, I can sympathize. I got one during my return from India; took me down for several days. Took 2 weeks before my sinuses quit trying to drown me every night.

Don’t worry; L&T wouldn’t bring stuff like that home for you if she didn’t love you…
