Atrue steelheader knows that the cold weather only means that the fishing is going to be pickup around here on the Salmon River in Idaho. Grab your rod and maybe I will see you there! Just talked to a friend in Dillon and they have 6" + of snow and temp's in the teens. Guess the trout are heading for the winter lies. The Bitterroot River is dropping a degree a day right now. At least the grouse hunting is holding up. And the winter midge fishing might start early (although next week is forecast in the mid to high 50's) - might have the shed the waders again.
