Do you think the Washington Post has a slant? I mean, look at the photo of McCain looking like he is asleep - the gatekeepers are at work. By saying Palin “held back”, is that like voting “present”? I don’t have a dog in this pony show, so don’t misunderestimate my lack of interest. shannon
Shannon: Slant?
I’m not convinced. I don’t think “held back” is a significant statement outside of setting the stage for her “coming out” against Ballot Measure 4. What is significant was the fact she apparently violated the law against advocating (for or against) ballot measures.
That she did it isn’t the question. The question is “should she have?”
As someone who wanted to see the measure pass, my slant is that she shouldn’t have. Reporting that she did something she probably shouldn’t have doesn’t qualify as bias - it qualifies as reporting.
