The intestinal distress was probably due to the bun or the mustard. It's a form of divine retribution similar to that reserved for people who make what they call "chili" out of hamburger meat. I grew up eating bacon-wrapped hot dogs back in the '40's and '50's, but with a difference. Partially precook one piece of bacon for each wenis. Split the hot dogs longitudinally, stuff with cheddar cheese, wrap the whole thing with bacon, hold in place with toothpicks, then broil until bacon is done enough and cheese is melted. They don't even require mustard that way, and definitely no bun. I haven't endured one of those in a good 30 years, but wife and I were wondering the other day if it was time to introduce the grandkids to them.

Great stuff. Following your road trip has been amusing way to take a trip to Montana this year minus the gas costs.

I have a group of friends (they all suck) who should be arriving at Rock Creek just about now for a week of fishing (did I say they all suck).

Keep 'em coming!
