As far as I can tell the spill was well downstream of the “good fishing” on the Davidson. The lower Davidson, for a bit upstream of rt. 64, is well stocked with hatchery fish. Further upstream is the very good, catch and release, wild trout section. There’s not really much upstream of that that could pose a problem, except of course the hatchery, but that’s what supposedly makes that stretch so productive.
