Beauty, eh? (And yes, it is pretty damned hard to forget why I moved here)
I fished yesterday with KB — the largely insane author of the Singlebarbed blog.
I’m heading out soon with Steve Bertrand (to a Super-Secret Guide Spot), and frankly, I’d rather eat, bathe, and organize my gear instead of posting a fishing report.
So let this be a lesson in delayed gratification; you’ll hear from me again on Monday (when we’ll finally launch the free contest I promised last Friday).
See you at the Super Secret Guide Spot, Tom Chandler.

Nice Job of trimming that topless sunbather from the finished frame… He acted like a hungry kid passing a Dairy Queen – and I had to peel his fingers off the rail one by one.
I think the term used was, “heartless and unfeeling..” – but I forgave as it was in the Heat of … Heat.

After growing up in Oregon and Washington, I’ve been in western NY for 30 years. Your pic shows exactly why I’ve missed the west every day.
Does catching fish even matter?
Please enjoy it enough for both of us.

kbarton: You sir, are a liar. But then again, so are almost all fly fishers (it’s a required skill).
For the record, I don’t freeze when confronted by outdoor babe nudity; I simply lose the ability to speak. It’s something that dates back to high school.
Rick: I did enjoy it enough for the both of us, and fortunately, catching fish would have been simply a nice plus (we didn’t).
when are you going to do fish versions of your horse series?

Tom-
After finally figuring out I am a landscape painter, animals have just crept back in. Who knows where it is going.
In my youth I illustrated a bunch of fish stuff- books, Rod and Reel articles, Adirondack Life. Fish are probably coming, but I think a series of woodcuts about fly casting first- though probably not til next winter. Gotta make my hay while the sun shines- summer is my selling season.
Fish Hard.

Oh yeah, I got skunked this afternoon without the scenery. Just high water.
