The Verdier Eco-Camper The Underground HAS TO HAVE
By Tom Chandler on May 2, 2008 in Underground Entertainment
The new Verdier bus camper has officially become the Underground’s #1 Most-Lusted After Outdoor Item (in the past I’ve hinted strongly that my readership buy me things, but this time I fully expect you to do it).
It’s a greenmobile: hybrid powerplant (even diesel/electric), hydraulic suspension, roof-mounted solar panels, and yes — even a woody version (and chicks dig… uhh… wood-covered micro-buses):
Plus built-in GPS and (of course) integrated wireless networking (and only $69,000).
You see, I’m not asking a wealthy Undergrounder to buy me one of these for my own benefit; I’m asking you to do it for yours.
I could travel the West country in one of these babies and file my big fish pics and taunting reports right from my own Solar-powered Heaven on Wheels.
What Undergrounder wouldn’t want me to do that?
See you with my face pressed against the glass, Tom Chandler.

If you said you could travel East, and if I had won the lottery, I’d would have ordered one for you before I posted.
Unless it floats, you couldn’t travel too far West now could you?
Plus, given your marital situation, you certainly don’t need chicks to dig your vehicle. Think of where that might lead..

It would be more practical as a “fish-mobile” if it had more clearance…what decent trout stream has a paved parking lot everywhere you would want to be? Jack that thing up!

I have to agree with Dave N. It definitely needs more clearance.

Hydraulic suspension and stabilization system. I’m betting we could get that baby up plenty high enough.
What better way to find out than to buy one?

they still wont let you camp at the nature conservancy on the mccloud with this, i’d bet. ..

ed: Since — amazingly — nobody’s stepped up to buy me one, your point may be moot. Still, I suspect the massive coolness factor (and my winning, Brad Pitt-esque smile) would dazzle and impress to the point I’d find myself fishing all sorts of private, normally inaccessible waters.

Well, it’s already been said. There may be some ponds with close-in parking where you could bring it. And what a lovely color scheme. Now…about that freebie you were talking about a day or two ago….

No wet bar, no hot tub….
You deserve better, Tom.

No really, I don’t.
