What's so crazy about skiing 10 miles uphill to go icefishing? Heck, our parents used to walk 10 miles to school, uphill, in 3 feet of snow, with a headwind both ways, five times a week.
It's all a matter of perspective. Can we bring cheese bait? I'm thinking a nice smokey cheddar..

I had to look twice, I'm not sure that's the Wonderdog - there's a spark of intelligence in that stare...

This dog doesn't look like he'd soil himself with a slaw dog, this lean whippet looks more like the organic quinoa type..

They spoofed your website, mayhap there's foul play afoot.

Since I'm actually a real life fisheries biologist for the USFS, I'll comment on the redds.

Possible you may have seen the beginnings of a couple redds though it is too early for spawning to really get going on the Upper River. It will get started there in early April.

Spawning is certainly well under way on the lower river by now, and is probably just getting started on the middle river.

This makes for tough fishing in spring since the fish are pre-occupied with spawning and not that interested in feeding. The upside to this is that spawning will be over by mid May on the Upper River, late April on the Middle River and mid April on the Lower River. Once they're done with spawning, their metabolism's will switch back to feeding mode and they will begin to feed aggressively.

In fact, he does need that tongue; he uses it for a necktie on our more formal walks.

I'd bet the wonderdog's tongue'd make great bait. If you cut it fresh on the bank, it'd probably twitch on a hook for quite a while, maybe even landing a WORLD RECORD BROOKIE. I'm just saying, is all. You could later make up a story about beavers to tell the L&TN. Knowing Wally's history, it would likely sound plausible. What you've got to ask yourself, is does he need that much tongue? Well, does he, Tom?
