Live Fish Shooters? Slurp of the Day…

At Trout Underground/Man Cave World Headquarters we eat slaw dogs on a regular basis, so it’s hard to ride too high on the horse when it comes to making sport of other’s culinary preferences, though frankly, that’s never stopped us in the past.
Via the exceptional Blogfish Ocean Blog comes this news item about… Live Fish Shooters:
Care for some live fish shooters? It’s a Flemish custom that’s drawing ire from animal rights activists.
Take a close look at the photo, those are live grondeling in a saucer of red wine about to get slurped by the man at the left with the classic sideburns. And note the druid in the background, watching intently. This is not your father’s fraternity party.
Is it just me, or does this seem like something you’d find at a frat party gone horribly, horribly wrong? We’re just saying here.
