A World Gone Mad: My Copywriting Blog Picked as a "Top 10" Writer’s Blog

The Trout Underground’s readers aren’t the only folks saddled blessed enough to sunbathe in the blinding light of my singular brilliance.

See, I also write a blog for copywriters (The Copywriter Underground, natch), which — for the second year in a row — has been picked as one of the Top 10 blogs for Writers.

Yes, all the earth’s creatures bathe in the warming glow of my genius

Megalomania, my friends, is setting in.

I gloat. I preen. I strut about obnoxiously. And I have a new theory about global warming (yes, but wait for it…).

It’s me. Or rather, my brilliance. I shine so brightly, the planet is heating.

I’m sorry world. I simply can’t help it.

In fact, I simply can’t help having yet another brilliant idea: why not put your by-comparison feeble minds to work figuring out how to best express your reverence for the light I shine on the world, then simply write that idea on a $20 bill and send it to me.

I will give it every consideration. As always, the floor is yours Undergrounders. Revere away…

    Congrats oh Meister.

For the threepeat, I recommend increasingly longer and more convoluted post titles in 2008.

We unwashed love pretending we’re intelligent by clicking on phrases cryptic. Rubbing shoulders with greatness.

I thought it was a Republic, now I’m finding out it’s a dynasty.

Oops, almost forgot - Brutus said to stop by his office before you left for lunch..

Somebody once warned me that fly fishers — as a breed — are like any barely domesticated wild animal.

    They’ll turn on you.

You mean someone actually READS a blog about copywriting fer gods sake!!???** What depths some people will go to for entertainment. I ’spose congrats are in order, but I can’t help wonder how much better (and brighter) TU would be, if you focused all your attention on it. And how much better off the world would be. For the want of a nail…..

Taku: Focusing on TU fulltime is an attractive thought — until I couldn’t pay my bills any more (which is looking like next week).

Alistair: Twelve actually. But I’m in the Top 10 of 12…

taku: I admire your sense of priorities (more than the L&T Nancy does).

yeah, well, here I am sitting in front of the woodstove, pounding away on the computer to pay for the fancy food the dog and cats eat. While my L&T sits in a chair even closer to the woodstove pounding away on her computer to pay for the new wading shoes I told her I need for a Christmas present. Although I did just spend a couple of hours jumpshooting ducks on the river. So all is not lost.
