Holiday Gift Giving, Buster Style
By Tom Chandler on Nov 12, 2007 in Underground Entertainment
The brain trust over at Buster Wants to Fish fired up what they promised will be the first installment of their Holiday Gift Guide, and predictably, it’s hilarious.
Sadly, we know the danger that lurks in satirical gift posts — someone’s going to scan that list without necessarily reading the comments. The next think you know, some poor fly fisher is unwrapping Crystal Fly Fishing Cuff Links on Christmas morning.
I promise the whole gang at Buster that if it happens to me, I’m coming your way (wearing my trout-themed boxer shorts and brandishing my trout-stamped silver spoon).
From Buster Wants to Fish:
Buster knows, it seems that just last week you were launching your leftover fireworks at your annoying neighbor who starts cutting his grass at the crack of ass. But like it or not, the Yuletide season is nearly upon us, and we bet that once again you have no idea what to give to your surly flyfishing nephew with the glazed eyeballs. Oh sure, theres no shortage of Crap With Fish On It(tm) to choose from. But will he like it, or will he heave it when you leave? Well banish your fears, were here to help you sort through it all. Presenting the first installment of Busters Yuletide Gift Guide 07.
See you at the Christmas tree, Tom Chandler.

Glad you like it, Tom, and I hope you enjoy the cufflinks. I think you should take us up on the codpiece challenge. It’s a really cool sticker.
What, is your Ctrl+C function somehow immune to apostrophes?

Blame Windows LiveWriter (my blog editor). Looks great in the editor, looks like hell online.
(Which pretty much sums up the entire Microsoft experience.)

I’m still looking for a way to incorporate football, NASCAR, bass fishing, deer hunting, and that chrome mud flap girl all in one gift item. When I’ve got it down, I’ll be rich and powerful beyond comprehension! (I’m leaning towards a BBQ set)
