$10,000, not including the engine, makes it a bit pricey even for those who think nothing of dropping a month’s salary on a bamboo rod. On the other hand, didja notice there was a bikini-clad babe in the passenger seat? Maybe $10,000 isn’t so bad…

Yeah, you’d kinda have to have a “flying boat engine” store nearby, but finding an engine is small potatoes compared to the payoffs, which could include preying on annoying jet skiers like some kind of giant hawk.
And there would be other benefits. See that obnoxious guide on the river — the one who moved his clients right on top of you last week?
You simply buzz overhead a couple times, and the trout — thinking the world’s largest osprey is on the hunt — would simply disappear — along with the guy’s tip.
Still, I’m no pilot, but this thing’s gotta be absolutely, perfectly safe within the narrow, windy confines of the Upper Sacramento River canyon, right?
