Pair Poach Steelhead; Boast About it on YouTube
By Tom Chandler on Aug 15, 2007 in News
Alert Underground Reader Greg sent us this little gem — a story about a pair of “fishermen” too stupid to realize they were incriminating themselves when they posted their steelhead-netting video on YouTube.
According to the report, the pair videotaped themselves netting steelhead on a shallow section of the Chagrin River. They toasted themselves with wine, and hopefully landed themselves in the courts.
Game officials weren’t amused when they saw the YouTube video, and they’ve identified the two, one of whom is a landowner on the river. Sadly, I couldn’t find the video on YouTube, but you can read the story and watch the news broadcast, which contains portions of the original video.
Best part? The two steelhead-netting morons are wholly obnoxious when on camera, and it’s a shame a charge of “criminal arrogance” can’t be added just for being stupid. Clearly, the penal system needs an overhaul.
See you in court, Tom Chandler.
UPDATE: Alert Underground Reader Grant found the video posted, though without the audio track. Let’s watch our pair of prancing morons at work:

It looks like someone ended up reposting the video, but without sound.

I guess its up there in the realm of stupidity with posting grand theft auto while doing bong hits on YouTube.
