The gear is packed, the house sitter is coming, and in a few hours, the 22 hour door-to-door trip to Grand Lake Stream begins.
Am I looking forward to it? Here’s your answer:

Life is hard on the mean streets of Grand Lake Stream.
Expect a few reports about the fishing, though the weather back there has been strange. Also expect some fun photography, and maybe a few more pictures of the town (90 year-round residents) and whatever else I can get into focus.
Last year’s post about the Grand Lake Canoe remains well-trafficked, so maybe this year we can get a peek into the builder’s shop.
See you among the Mainers, Tom Chandler.

Oh a trip? How nice. Are you going by camel?
Have a nice time.

Tom, I can almost smell the scent of balsams in the air. Have fun with the smallmouths. My son spent 5 years in Old Town and I very much enjoyed each and every visit. My first landlock was on Grand Lake Stream and I don’t think I will ever forget it. Wonderful place. Enjoy!

If you find yourself near Portland due to traveling requirements let me know. I’d be happy to show you some salty opportunities while you are in “Vacationland”. Have a great trip.
