The Upper Sacramento After a Long Weekend? Thankfully, No
By Tom Chandler on Jun 5, 2007 in Underground Entertainment
Sure, after a long holiday weekend, the Upper Sacramento River is buried under a little more trash than normal, but thankfully, never anything like this:

That’s not a dump — that’s a boat floating on a river.
Via Spluch comes this picture of the Citarum river in West Java. Basically, you’d have to clear a hole to drop a fly in, assuming all the fish aren’t already dead (and we assume they are).
It’s doubtful Donny Beaver’s trying to wrap up the private fishing rights to this cesspool.
Anyway, I’m a slave to the keyboard for a couple days, and the L&T Nancy and I are leaving Wednesday night for a couple days in the Bay Area, so sadly, no fishing. That’s not good.
Still, some good stuff coming up in the next couple days, including the Underground’s Special Secret Plan for Putting Fly Fishing Back on Top Again. It’s genius.
Don’t miss it. See you in the secret planning department, Tom Chandler.

Check out the Russian River Fly Fishers. You’ll find many fly clubs in the bay area as well as fishing venues. I enjoy your work. I can’t say that I am successful in the Upper Sac though. Maybe I’ll learn a thing or two from your site. Cheers. Hector Bedolla President RRFF
